Words

Words lubricate the phrase of worth
Like worms that aerate the earth
They are the seeds that come to bloom
With flowers of hue and nectars spume

Colors that paint our nebula
That magnifies the oracular
Each word can brush a shade of hue
That titillates the lush of you

It is the pigment of our write
That covers all the blank of white
It rings and tolls our mental bell
It is the dipper of our well.

Words can be our food and drink
The cork to keep our ship from sink
A form of music to our ear
A whispered message that we hear

It is the nourishment of our soul
And light that lights our path and goal

I've been from Passions this week's end
no time for poetry, for time to spend
where light is seen in shadows dark
I may as well have visited a park...

I've missed the thoughts of poets dear
so thank you for this gift...right here!

Yes, Seymour, words can pick us up or set us down with a jolt. Your words this morning have lifted me lightly into a Sunday's reflection. Thankyou for this. Butter tarts to-day? Yummy. hugs, Chris

They are the seeds that come to bloom

Aren't they just? *S* It's our option whether we're planting a garden that will delight or a patch of weeds. *S*

Your words are always anticipated, Seymour... and appreciated. *S*

Seasoned writer...Fine tuned from the word go. I look forward to finding a hint of mistake in your meter down the road. Smiles* I did find one line that I thought to be a bit silly for my liking...The cork to keep our ship from sink. Other than that, you're a man of words.

Regards,
Always Lisa
