yet you ask me to support another

I stand behind you
with you and lead for you
yet you ask me to support another

My heart saddens
to read you words
cause you ask me to support another

I play with you
comfort you and give you strength
yet you ask me to support another

My shoulders broad for you
My ears are open
My heart is tortured
Cause You Ask Me To Support Another

I Can't
I Won't
Be a supporting player
So dont ask me to support another

very interesting piece, one could make their on deductions on the object of your affection or otherwise--thanks for sharing

Our leading role is to ourselves.
I never could follow a script, much less pull it off and try to be someone other
than myself. It just wouldn't feel right.
