Lately nothing is constant Nothing is simple There are no more easy decisions The line has faded Now the black and white are mixing into gray When did they tell us how to deal I must have been absent that day When did they hand out the instructions for this life Nothing prepares you for being alone Because now all you see is backs that have turned No one wants to listen No one seems to care So you find yourself alone Out in the cold You find yourself longing for days past When everyone was your friend But they went by so fast I didn’t want this No one asked me I never agreed to this life But I’m forced to live through hell All around me are memories of my squandered youth Mocking me with the recollection of carefree days Where is the justice in all of this Where is my reward What goes around comes around Well karma must have gotten my address wrong Cause I still ain’t got mine I can’t take this much more Someone stop the world I wanna get off |

I have felt such pain. Especially after my ex Greg dumped me. Great write. Cold hands means a warm heart |
