Momentary loss, Where my thoughts still to nothing And no words will cross To my fingers no words spring And I revel there In the stillness of my lack, Just being nowhere, Then reality is back And calm is disappearing. Gloom |

There are lucid moments, and perversely, most lucid in NOTHING. damn. grin. I like this much. Not the typical play on writer's block, no, not the professor... YOU REVEL IN IT. excellent. |

Thank you, Serenity, Pleased you enjoyed, But Why do you assume this is about writers block? Why is it not about the calming of the spirit similar to mediation, An intentional thing. I revel in the calm, Something rare in my life in the city Where the cars fill the streets at all hours of the night And domestic disputes become similar to a bad radio that won’t turn off. Then again Isn’t poetry up to the misconstruing of the reader To pull their meaning from the words? Gloom |

I should stick to pencil? ME? I think not. I have a natural prediliction for pilfering gel pens...and I'm altogether too fond of the "delete" button. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... pencil! He says! wicked grin. I should take my own advice and sleep tho...that's at close to shades of lead gray as I get, me friend! |

I call it the Zoned Area. It is almost like your mind and flesh are numb at the same time. I don't know why this happens...sometimes I think it is the way the overwhelmed mind can find peace. I do know you expressed this state of mind perfectly. I know exactly what you are talking about. Patricia |
