I know, I know-- the allure of it. I embrace the malice poison in a loving cup-- engraved upon the chalice-- there my epitaph. Every time that I awake I fight the sprouts in reach of more-- pulling up the good earth seed with napalm of "some more." Oh I know, futility of waking every day-- but to slay me once again. I die daily, gratefully. I am the seed of Saul. |

"I embrace the malice poison in a loving cup"----Whyever would be that so, Dear Karen?! The concept of malice poison in a loving cup is brill! But, embrace it? My, oh my, I do believe there may be a bit of the masochist in you today! You deserve nectar of the Gods in your loving cup! Nothing less should do! Thought-provoking strokes of brilliance from your illustrious pen! Have a day of wonder & bliss!--you need it! Linda |

ahh...bitters, branch water and bourbon: "malice...in a loving cup" delightful at dusk before the hunt or dawn relaxing before tucking in for the long day's night. A great poem. I salute you. [This message has been edited by icebox (06-06-2003 01:45 PM).] |
