I await Of night’s cruel fate, Fingers bleeding, in pain pleading, as mystic quest, seeks out my breast, blind, unseeing, no mortal being, alone I mourn, in dark’s reborn, ‘mid earthly mire, burns funeral pyre, final stage screams silent rage, as I await, ope’s midnight’s gate, night’s ebon chasm, in muted spasm, honed axes thrust, from dust to dust, tread noiseless feet, in life’s defeat, comes death's call; in final fall. |
