Hold the night

baby, can you teach me.......how you sing in your sleep
how you trace a moonbeam.......across this soul in shadow’s keep
my love do you have the definition......for what I see in your eyes
how is it you can speak in twisted riddles........while telling me no lies

baby, can you teach me......your words that do in trance
sway my heart in your rhapsody.......such eloquent romance
my darling is there a translation......a way to somehow convey
teach me to speak it....... in libidinous linguistic way

and baby can you teach me.......how you dance, drenched in dream
colliding two hearts.......in passionate scream
while enfolding emotions......in swirling starlight
tell me love........how.......how do you hold the night

~SEA~

Susan...this is simply gorgeous.
I've really missed reading your poetry.
It's good to have you back 'home'.

Sea,

I read this beautiful poem at least half a  dozen times.
I went to pour coffee, in my head still echoed the rhymes.

Exquisite...I would quote a few great lines...but it seems the whole verse consists of great lines.

You don't mind that I have to reread your poems? I can't seem to get enough. When I was a newlywed at 19 years of age. My heart felt what you write. But my pen was ill informed! If I seem to be green it is only envy.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
