I wonder if you realize That sorry came too late I love you still But forgiveness is not an escape I felt the branding heat of your hate Saw tears of regretful love And the wounds of your anger I wore like a sequined glove I call you still Because acting is what you demanded But never forget Acceptance has long ago been remanded I, no longer child A role you took to cope Ignorance your forte The part you choose to stoke Looking back I finally see The blame you placed Was a façade A masked tribute to your own insecurity You branded me With scarlet letter All the while it was green you wore Disguised with throne and crown To make yourself feel better So sit you will In your mirage of sand Knowing all the while It is me, that with a purse of lips Could cause you to wear the brand |

OK, let me be sure I have this right; we don't like this person, yes? Remember vengeance is a hot dish served right from the oven; it usually burns every one it touches. Revenge is dessert for the patient; it is best served very cold. |

Icebox, Wrong...I love the person that I spoke about. However, they not only weren't there when I needed them most, they turned on me for their own selfish reasons. I was a child and they sacrificed me. Revenge? No..just venting...I may act like I forgave her but I will never forget.... Make sense now? Thank you for reading! Susan |
