~*~ Said vehement by some, true love a paper trail Shredded on the journey and on the wind set sail But there are different feelings about a partnership To be a greater bonding, agreement made by lip At times unorthodox and pure of body and of soul A giving without taking, two parts that make one whole A choice to stand beside someone, through distance without doubt Respect that travels on through all the trials that life shells out A right and left of hands, in service and in kind To heal what hurts inside, to soothe the tired mind And faithful to the core by choice the self benign Distinct to be a soul support, beyond the dotted line To nourish and to hold in pleasure and in pain The shelter from the cold, the burn of sun or deluge rain A thinker of the pleasant, a player in the sand A builder of tomorrow, taking dreams right by the hand For what is made of gold cannot be made of wood And only in the treasure can the gem of love be good Unbounded and unqualified, the heart will choose in love And each must choose to the degree we hold this pledge above ~*~ Copyright Kkh 6/1/03 |

Kay, lots of good points here. No, one does not have to be married to have the same values, principles and degree of love and commitment with another. Well said in your always enjoyable fashion. |
