At one time
I thought I would never find
A love that would
Last for a lifetime

I was always rejected
Put down
Or hurt
By men

They looked for perfection
But I never was perfect
And I never will be
But that is what most guys sought

But I never gave up
I continued on my quest
To find a man
That wasn't looking for perfection

I started my quest at 18
And it finally ended
Once I was 22
Because I found a man
That liked me for me
And wasn't looking for perfection

Now that I have found this love
I have been happier than ever
And now I am a believer
Because at one time
Thought I would be single
Forever

just because you didn't think of yourself as "perfection" doesn't mean that his heart doesn't see you as "perfect"

That's so sweet to me. Gary tells me the same
thing. I told him that I'm so glad that "love
is blind". I know that you really are thankful
that you and Liam got together. I really am
thankful that Gary and I found each other.

There is no perfection, or not for long I am afraid Julie. Once what was thougth as perfect at 20, when 50, is far from it. The wonder of being young is you can take that risk and enjoy what you can with the person that loves you for who you are and doesn't want to change you. Well said by the way.
