That Which Gives Me Pleasure

It would please me if you were to
Reach inside of me,
To touch me in sentimental places
Where I’ve never been touched.
If you could tenderly stir my deepest joy
From the secret wells of womanhood
Swirling me in a dance of warmth and sincerity

It would please me if you were to kiss me
To taste the essence of who I am
The fury of my passion
The sweetness of my scent
The simplicity of my wants

You would fill my heart with joy if
You were to love me
To love me in a very special way
Known only to us
Savored only by us
Embraced only by you and me

It would please me if you were to know me
And to know me is to touch my spirit
To kiss my tears, to feel my passion for life
To discover yourself in my love for you

If you were to gently cup some blue forget-me-nots
In the masculine strength of your hand,
Instead of bestowing a vase of roses
Then you will have come to know
the simplicity of my needs

And that would fill my heart with
deep and abiding pleasure

Ohmygosh Liz!!  I love this!
You're a woman after my own heart!
I too would rather have a handful of daisies than a bouquet of roses!
OOOH..how I love this...a keeper for my library!
Love ya dear Lady!

Lis, this is beautiful and so you!  It seems that you and I think alike and of course this is a keeper~

Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world!

Elizabeth:

you nailed it

like wildflowers from the side of the road
sometimes love is simple . . .
we tend to make it complicated
truly
this is lovely

Hi Elizabeth, this poem is exquisitely wonderful! From the endless flow, to the gentle and affectionate message.

I absolutely love it!

This is one of those, “Perfect Love Poems” to be treasured, always.
