A Coming of Age

Donned the disguise
Under the guise
Appearances be kept
Tripped the maze
Of youthful phase
A thousand tears wept

Of wisdom sage
She comes of age
In her middle years
With lessons self taught
Passage rite bought
Release of foolish fears

Free to explore
Her spirit now soar
Wings fully spread
From bird’s eye view
She is made anew
By soil she had tread.

That was great! I really liked it! And it didn't drag on like some poems do.

I look forward to seeing more of your peoms!

Nothing like getting your second wind on
turn number 3.  I know this feeling.

Nicely said.

Patricia, I love this poem. Especially this part....

Free to explore
Her spirit now soar
Wings fully spread
From bird’s eye view
She is made anew
By soil she had tread.

You fly, girl.....

Patricia!

I love this . . .
I so relate to it
more than you know

free spirit - later in life
lessons learned - tough lessons
but yes . . . one day to fly
beautiful

I apologize if I missed your entrance
Welcome to PIP!

Patricia, I love this new style of poetry you used, you’ll have to teach me how OK?

Patricia, I hope, like most, if not all of us, that the more that you write about your feelings, the easier things will get?

I really have faith in you, that no matter what happens to you. You will always land on your own two feet.

All my best to you!

Wonderful write, as always,

Richy
