Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-05-29 10:56 AM

He stood in the hallway
Studying her in her spare room,

With brush in hand, a bend of waist
Tendrils of hair curling toward ground
Soft sounds of forty-six, forty-seven, forty-eight
Matching stroke of hand and whisk of brushthroughhair

Wove through the air,

Coming across to his hearing,
Knowing that when she stood, face flushed red
And hair thrown back

It would amaze him all over again,
That she said

"I do."

YES!!  What a beutiful tender moment,..
Wonderful words of love and thoughts of him
still not quite believing his good fortune..
Perfect, and I'm keeping this!

This poem is a treasure! I'm adding it to my library.

oh *sigh*

such a lovely poetic vignette Kari ...
a moment in time penned into a verses keepsake.

lovely indeed.

Hate cannot drive out hate ... only love can do that.

Beautiful...brought time to a standstill.

Still amazes me, too.
