Rose Colored Glasses

An older piece of mine.

Dancing on a hip lady bug
underneath the starry skies
in the dreamy eyes of this
these short days of our lives
looking through my rose colored glasses
I see only what I want to see
and only feel what is good for me
I am but a ship
lost in the seas of ambiquity
heading toward my open grave
as careless as the court fool
giving roses to dead
long forgotton souls
falling to sleep each night
in shallow unmarked graves
I only see what I want to see
while other may fall around me
reality is sharper
then I want to know
I am content in my trip
dancing on a hip lady bug
in the dreamy eyes of this
these short days of our lives.
