I remember you writing in the sand I recall cryptic etchings cranial wretchings I couldn't make sense of it all. I spiraled, as we walked you talked with the lopsidedness of one who feels he's undone, by mere surroundings, of towering gods. What were the odds, that we would be together, whatever attached by the string of consciousness prolapsed by the ring of senselessness we're both falling, like waves upon shore a landscape that is no more, for the tower's no longer alive. I've been missing you! If this poem is an indication of what has been transpiring in your life, I am sorry to hear it. A rose should be blushing with joy, not frowning in sadness. I await the day, that you post a picture that reflects an inner peace and joy. It will happen, Dear Rose of White! The sun will shine down upon you again! If I'm way off base with this reply, please accept my appologies. This is just how I am reading it. Loving hugs, Linda |

Hello Anne I've missed you and your poetry and your sweet replies. I hope that you're back? As always, this is a very beautiful poem, even though it is sad. I hope things are better now? See you later, Lady Heart hugs Ethel |

You have been missed my dear. This write conveys the falling well, as always, expertly penned. A deep descent, that hopefully lands in a meadow gold. Hugs, TD |

Linda, thank you so much, dear lady, for your wonderful response. It's so nice to know that I've been missed. My intentions are always to post everyday. So much for good intentions. Life goes up, then comes down, and it seems I'm always landing flat on my face. For now, life is good. The joy of the Lord is always there, but happiness, and serenity are fleeting. |

Hi Ethel It's always nice to come back among friends. I've missed the smiling faces and the warm friendships. Thank you for being so kind, and always reading my slight attempt at poetry these days. |

TD, thank you for your kind response. I've been lurking, reading, and always attempting to find the time to post, or to reply, but it seems there just is never enough time. |

Hey Where have you been Ms Rose? I've missed you. I love how each line of this poem just flows into one another beautifully. The sadness is beautifully expressed. Maree |

Hello Maree, I've been around. Just quietly reading, and keeping to myself. Sometimes it's necessary. I'm not even sure why... |

Chris, thank you for your kind words. Life happens, and we just go along. I'm still singing my song, I'm just singing it on the inside more now. I've missed this place... [This message has been edited by WhiteRose (05-27-2003 07:15 PM).] |

This brought back a beautiful memory to me of many years ago when me and my girlfriend Nancy were walking on the beach and we noticed a large round object about five foot high floating towards the shore...it was a large metal float...we rolled it onto the sand and we wrote love letters all over it where the sand stuck to the float...James |

It is good to see you, WhiteRose! The imagery in this of the sand and towers, makes me think of something fleeting, that is built to stand tall, but built of material that will be taken back out to sea. A lovely expression! |
