You see me here And think you know me Though we have never met Just because I by chance Glanced your way In the heat of the action On stage that night The alcohol was strong But you felt it was true The songs I sang of our love When, in fact, my eyes saw Another in the distance Even if she wasn't there I shook your hand And the hug from you As the roll I play requires Bu in the light of day I find that your name is not there Your face has escaped my mind And you have become just another On the stop towards home *thoughts on being caught in the grocery by someone who followed a former band* Day after day I'm more confused, So I look for the light through the pouring rain...
