She played and her violin cried Its voice filled the rooms of her third floor walk-up resonated in the plaster walls and the cheap cut-glass chandelier then, spilled out into the streets The hollow keening blended with the neon and reflected off of the wet pavement below How long had I listened? How many nights had I been there seeking solace in her music, her musings in her bed? Was it the whole winter that I spent warming myself within her Mozart within my whiskey in her youthful fever? Or perhaps, it was merely one of those smaller lifetimes that have managed to fill my existence [This message has been edited by wranx (05-26-2003 11:33 PM).] |

You lend your grace to everything you write wranx. I, for one, and am glad you gave up decoupage. wondering if you knew, but my mind chooses background music when I read you. Even when Zach has deathmetal blaring, I can hear strings. Hugs, love, and witchy blessings. |

Ed...sometimes a moment is a lifetime...and a lifetime is one moment...love makes time do funny things. This poem touches time like that, when only the moment matters. Poignant and a bit sad. |

Beautiful. I hear the music of the violin playing in my head. Cold hands means a warm heart |

Talk about an extended moment! To touch someone this way, or be touched by someone this way, Ed, that's what it's all about, isn't it? the essence the purity the intensity le raison d'etre you reached deep inside and pulled this one from the heart's core |

Ed, I hope that you have given this to Heather. This is a very beautiful love poem, that has come straight from your heart. I know that she feels these words. Thank you for sharing your heart with us. Hugs, Ethel |

Dearest Ed You are the sweetest man...I love the poem very much. I hope you love the music I play for you as much as I love your writing and this very special poem of love. J'espère que je serai toujours votre étoile brillante... vous l'homme doux doux que j'aime. Amore H |

When we look back over the years, there are memorable moments that may only take up a paragraph in the book of one's life--but oh, a paragraph that was a joy to write and remains a joy to read! Luvin' hugs, EA |

The title told me I had to be in the "right place" to read this... I was right. I knew this would draw up a lump to my throat... I wasn't there, I don't know her but you made her violin tremble within me. |
