The Dream That Lasted As birds sing out towards the end of day my eyes lift gazing on the greying sky I dream of times when we were cast away where ocean waves played gentle lullaby The velvet of the night would hold us close and cool the heat from tender breeze caress Night came to life as we would lightly doze as diamonds lit the heavens to impress A smiling moon looked down upon just two weaving magic that came from deep within A fantasy for them has now come true for on the isle of love they now begin The dream that lasted many years of sleep awakens at each dawning of the sun Strong arms reach out and to his chest they sweep a maid whose love and life has just begun Startime |

I have had many dreams like this. You never want to wake up. I love it. Cold hands means a warm heart |

Dreams--and poems--like this are the best! ~Elizabeth Dreams last for so long, even after you're gone... |
