I have a propensity
for too much intensity.

I get my fix each day
reading Pipsters at play,
teasing trembling keyboards,
pouring pure soul stuff
all over my waiting screen,
sometimes making me scream
as if trapped in a bad dream,
wounding both eyes and mind.
But I read it anyway and reply
whenever I can.
Sometimes though,
there is no suitable reply,
and all I can offer is
a long silent sigh
of understanding,
or at the very least,
a nod
in quiet compassion
as I carefully tiptoe past you
and make my exit
out the back door.

I never did learn how to tip toe lightly,
seems I come crashing in like gangbusters
and don't know when to take my leave.

This was such a nice poem Kacy,
I liked these couple lines especially~

sometimes making me scream
as if trapped in a bad dream,

I am always left feeling better just by being here though.

Better be careful!  Reading poetry can lead to all sort of aberrant behavior such as listening to music or even dancing.  You could become exposed to thoughts which provoke emotions perhaps even sensual feelings.  Certainly you can see the danger in this activity!  Beware!

Nice write, thanks for sharing it.

I have been "guilty" of that myself at times.
Then there are the poems that I do not reply to because I have not a clue of understanding what I had just read! It is beyond my level of comprehension!

Have a great day!
Linda
