Sonnet Blue

I watch each movement, eyes upon his face
When resting mine in arms that hold me strong.
In fears forgot, my trust in his embrace
Brings tears, a sense of righting all that's wrong.

If only silent thoughts could wend their way
To pull us closer, bodies speaking true
The love for him I keep, but can't allay
Would mirror eyes in love with his of blue.

A puzzlement of mind, this heart in choice
Confesses daily of his missing touch.
To color over shadow's inner voice
I dream those dreams, infectious needs of such.

So worry not, the day will come to be
When body speaks, my soul entwined with Thee.

Thank you Dixie   and Q, I was trying the  workshop theme of the month. I haven't written a sonnet in a while.

Thank you both.

You funny girl, Margie

I was talking to someone on here about our Florida visit. I will have a chance to meet Blues Serenade a week from Tuesday. I am so excited...now if only we have some beautiful weather.
As you can tell I am playing "cleaning" hooky.
And just reading and rolling for a bit.

hugs

M.  excellent....you obviously worked very
hard to produce a gem of a sonnet... thanx

Thanks Barry for stopping by. I wish I could say I have to work hard at these...only the  meter keeps me thinking, the rest just comes, as long as I am in a poetic mood.
