Weathered got a buck eyes of a worn and weary drifter looking into the soul now hardened against the daily grind of names like Joe and Jingles, Junky and Jed... Walking shoes and overalls, hand me down jackets and socks more holy than the Pope....Praise the Lord and pass the Spuds... “Got a dime?” Hopeless gaze of helpless on a haunting face that knows no home, has no place other than some corner next to the steam of a rat infested sewer drain... “Hey Buddy, got a buck?” Walking on, as eyes stare holes and faux tears never show the need to wash the BMW across the street... Panhandlin’.....strokin the palm.. And a tie used to keep his shirt neat... Freedom’s plight, home of the homeless and room for a sign held up to nowhere close. “Come on man, I haven’t eaten in two days!” Letting the heel click, walkin’ on into the mid-day haze, hearing the next song of silent sadness play upon a jukebox of yesterday. Got a dime? |

 (sad sigh) I can only imagine in a world such as this it truly is a hopeless place for them and I wush it could ever be more possible to lend more than a dime to everyone we find along the streets!
