Hey you in there Stop kicking me about Im not a football For you to be throwing me about Dont get me wrong I love it all The movements inside felt Just a little time I beg to be spared To sleep through the night All day I sit and wonder When next you will move again But no little one You show me nothing then As soon as I lay down my head Close my eyes to sleep Open become yours To play, kick and punch about Inside me Three more months And worse it will get Im told by everyone God is preparing me For when here you be Awake at night Needing me [This message has been edited by whiskey (05-22-2003 02:22 AM).] |

Hi Whiskey, I guess I didn’t pay as much attention to the title of your poem as I should have. And I thought it was about an abusive relationship...lol Which is nothing to laugh about, it’s just that I was glad to finally realize that it was about a, “mother with child.” Your last part: “Three more months And worse it will get Im told by everyone God is preparing me For when here you be Awake at night Needing me” Is really, so true... Great write my friend... can't claim to know the feeling but I do know the feeling after the womb and guess if I had it to do all over again...I would. I would sit up with them, rock them, feed them, change their potty mess and all the rest, just for the love they give in return. 'Course there is all the other garbage that goes with them... now on second thought... yeah, I still would... May you be as blessed with them as I was... jwesley |

 (smiles) Awwwwwwwwww, I can understand sometimes our children need their moms and dads so much they can feel kicked around but then we love them even more as we wash their tears away and see the sparkles in their eyes!
