Remember?
Across my yard into yours
over the wood fence and into
our playground blooming with possibilities
the grass was indeed lush beneath that
old tree
Remember how we picked riped thought
from it's heavy branches
feeding them one to the other
until we were both intoxicated?
There we lay wrapped cozily in
the heady blanket of what if
fantasizing right now
Remember
how I undauntedly trimmed
the hedges that grew naturally
around you
to see you
to feel you
to be with you
because I so badly
needed you
Across my yard into yours
over the wood fence and into
our playground blooming with possibilities
the grass was indeed lush beneath that
old tree...
Remember?

how cool are those images and personifications.
very cool..well done poetess SK

I refuse to accept that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism & war that the daybreak of peace can never be reality.
