The water now falls Drenching me from the gray skies, And my sadness calls Pounding the window in sighs I’m like the day that cries. I don’t mind drenching, The wet clothes and dripping hair My spirit lynching With unemotional care, The pelting tells me I’m there. Rain all the day long, Drown me till I’m nevermore, Sing me rain’s dirge song, Not a drizzle let it pour, Drench me to my spirit’s core Gloom |

This one has the feel... and my skin stings at the pelting... thank you, Professor! |

I have had that experience, and believe me, it could not be more perfectly--or poetically--expressed than you have just done with this exceptionally descriptive write. I feel for you, my dear professor... Let it pour and wash all pains and sorrows away. May the sun come out from hiding and dry up all the rain--and your tears, Toasty warm hugs, EA |
