Isn’t it about time
we move on to a different agenda?
Perhaps one that might offer
thoughts and actions that foster
PEACE and COOPERATION
in lieu of
FEAR and RETRIBUTION?
Now that we can’t seem to find
those bastardly dastardly WMD’s,
we somehow find ourselves
confronted with the concept of

the MINI-NUKE.

Our government is debating
repealing a current law
banning low-yield nuclear weapons.

That’s right.

Some one wants to build
MINI-NUKES.

For those who don’t know,
a mini-nuke is defined as one that is
less than five kilotons.
That makes it about a third the size of the one
that destroyed Hiroshima.

So now, where is it this government’s
been looking for terrorist activity?
Maybe we should be looking
in our own back yard.

So now that we’ve gone from stopping people with box cutters...

********
call or write your Senators
tell them we already have sufficient weapons to
blow us all off the face of
our Mother Earth

LOL, you wouldn't want me in the SENATE. I'd talk non-stop...filibuster style, until they all put their weapons down in defeat
(or fatigue)!
But thanks for the moral support, as well as following that vital link.

Awesome write Kacy, A scary world it is that I raise my girls. And I am not such a fool to believe we do not already posess these suitcase nukes. They are seeking sanction for weapons they already have.
I fear and shiver I may see another mushroom cloud on this planet in my life.

Your passion comes through clearly in this.  I believe we are at least a thousand years from real peace on this planet, but no matter how long the journey, it has to start somewhere.

You peaked my interest with this one Kacy.
You are right, we do have enough already
to obliterate us all...

Jason, icebox, Magnus
thank you each for reading, and hopefully for taking some form of active involvement in voicing your concerns to the powers that are currently attempting to sneak this one past our senses by focusing on 'the other bad guys'

and as we read and speak, be aware of the turmoil in the Korean arena
