As thunderous thunderstorms brew
over a rocky mountained view,
my musing mood becomes hued
with a crescendo of loud colors as
the sky is infused with bloody crimson,
splattering the cobalt blue sky,
forcing me to wonder why
even billowing bursts of creamy white clouds
cannot cover up the tears I cry
in anger and sheer frustration for
this human race that must surely face
a higher power some day.
And what will we say
when we come face-to-face
with whatever or whoever
rightfully rules our universe?
For it surely cannot be
you or me, for we
are too petty, stupid and rude,
and even the lowest snake in the grass
offers up more honesty and sensibility
in acceptance of his position,
and does not pretend to rule
both heaven and earth.

Goodness Kacy:

this just about sums it all up now
doesnt it?

what a strong write and yes - we all
have to face the music - so no tears please
you will be one among the many who
will get their wings - the rest - well
we can only hope they face their own souls
beforehand

Amzing writing sis
truly thinking this one over

thanking each of you for your part, in completing my adjusted view, of the rainbow
that hopefully always follows even the most frightening storm

for some reason, i thought of human cannonballs that go zoom! zoom! into the starry starry night

and even the lowest snake in the grass
offers up more honesty and sensibility
in acceptance of his position,

what biting sarcasm on the human race! I had to smile wryly

At least the frustration is a source of energy for you.

A great poem.  Thank you for calming down enough to share it.  *smile*
