The Truth Of Her

I watched her flirting tonight,
touching him in front of me.
And wondered
what she would have done
if I touched her man
the way she touched mine.

I wonder if she would sit there in awe,
thinking what nerve, this friend of mine.
And would she even realize
despite her absence of sense
that my heart was off-beat,
and my stream of thoughts
was changing my hue
to the color of fume.

I look at her and feel pity,
knowing that she will never
be satisfied with one,
even if she proclaims it so.
And I look at him and feel sorry,
because he doesn't know the truth of her.

~M~

Very, very touching with a truth that some wouldn't realize. Quite perceptive.

I have watched this happen before it's a hard thing to watch and control actions, you found the best way to get it out by writing it down, very well done

It shouldn't really bother me, for specific reasons, but it did and does...and for some reason I take it out on myself.

Thank you Julie, and Dixie, I bet you can do that well. It is something I have never learned to do.

I think its just annoying to know someone else doesn't have the manners not to do something like this. Hope this is a thing of the past. Sometimes people really need to be shown what they are doing.

enjoyed.

Love is patient, indeed. It endures the distance when it seems we cannot endure it ourselves.
