Is It Infatuation

If I gave you paper roses in
place of fresh blooms.

If I gave to you a Hershey kiss
and not a box of Godiva's.

If I packed a lunch and we ate
in the park instead of taking you
out to fine dineing.

If I took you to a movie and not
to a Broadway show.

If I always remembered special
days in your life.

If I told you i loved you very much
would it be infatuation.

It matters not how you answer, It matters only that i hear you.

No matter how one looks at it the thought counts and a picnic in the park is very peaceful and romantic.

Very nice comparison and a thinking poem. I enjoyed the read.

I find it is the simple treasures I remember.  I guess you can call me a cheap date.  I don't ask for much except...maybe for some good conversation.  Which is often hard to find.

This was cute...call it a simple treasure!

Nicely and most humbly said,  Yet,  a richness
that most never enjoy...

Well done!

Dang it, I had a perfectly good reply 'till I read that passing shadows remark.
LOL.
Anyway, it's the reality of love, not the fantasy of it, that must outlast the movie and the dinner.
Well done, sir poet.
