Bitter angel,
solace of so many
sad Socratic souls,
why do I see your dusty shadow's
silhouette this day?

Have I run out of time
for lovers
who would take my life in sips
and let me keep the rest;

have I just missed
some proper turn on this
so surprising road;

have I unknowingly built
the relics I have often thought
I'm here to build;

or, are you
here to challenge me,
to be whatever
currently
I am afraid to be,
by offering
the lesser choice
the prize alternative,
the last escape?

Icebox, finally the choice is always ours but it's good to think and ask the questions. The way you do that is a wonderful gift!
