Many years ago...The TV show "Charlie's Angels" was popular, and, of course Farrah Faucett was making her debut...One very rainy day my parents heard a scratching at the front door...looked out..didn't see anything..but again there was scratching. My father went out on the front porch to find this puppy..about the size of a mouse..it was kinda, a little bit of, somewhat of a minature Dachsund...and, when they couldn't find out where she'd come from..they kept her...named her Farrah..

I have a little dog
Her name is Farrah
She will defend me from
The most vicious sparrow

She will hop on a tub
Or sit on a log
She thinks she's human
But she smells like a dog.

Like sparkling jewels
Her eyes glow clearly
She's six years old
And housebroken, nearly

She's a part of the family
That earns no wage
But Farrah I wish you
A ripe old age.

(Farrah died at age 17, a few months after my parents passed away. I'm convinced it was from a broken heart.)

your parents died at age 17?
LOL, I know you meant Farrah did.
A nice puppy dog tale. Glad she wasn't a kitty.
(or that reprobate friend of yours named Long Jhn would have come after her!)

This goes right to the heart of anyone who's ever loved and lost a beloved "member of the family"... especially those of us who were found and adopted. *S*

I love this, Toe. *S* You and Farrah have left a big smile on my face... *S*

I love this one. All the time I was growing up we had Frisky. He was around 14 when he died. He was out chasing girls and got run over.

Yes Toe...certainly a tangent off of your
normal bashing that you give a few unmentioned
scoundrels here at PiP...

But,  I liked it....had a couple of those
miniature hotdogs with 4 legs myself...
And they were just like family as well...

Picturing your little dachsund with her blonde locks wisping back... and does she drive a white & blue mustang?... just curious... I enjoyed, Toe...

Very sweet Toe. I had a baby alligator named Ollie once, but he died of lockjaw. It's true! Ask my sister Enchantress. Anyway, I don't know why that memory just came to me now, but poetry does that to me....reminders of other times. hugs, Chris

Very touching, Toe....

...but I happen to know the real story of how Farrah met her demise. I was outside your house with my camera. How could you!!??

So touching, Toe. I agree with what Southern said.

Sure does bring back memories for most of us. But, the time of it's passing is not surprising...animals are family members and so emotional and loyal...
Bet they are all happily together.

Heart hugs, Pat

Gotta snicker at the photo!

I'm watching one of my dogs fail now. I understand where this comes from. But the humor you show here is appreciated...Much.

Uhm? Serial killer? Sheesh!

Not sure if she would appreciate you naming a dog after her...although I'm sure the dog was cute...and so was she...I met her in Long Beach while she was filming a Charlie's Angel on the Queen Mary...she's not my style...I believe she was with Lee Majors at that time...James
