Your hand upon mine
lips upon lips
sweet kiss
eyes gazing into mine
for all time

If only  . . .

Soft sweet breath
on a summers' day
whisper
of your hand upon my face
longing to say

If only  . . .

Lying together
entwined
in the cool grass
the Sun
smiling upon us
at least once

If only . . .

Thank you Ethel

Please see but one of her many writes which
tell a tale of love . . .  not lost - but found

AAAAWWWWW Sue....
This is so sweet. It makes me feel so good
to be able to write something that inspires
someone. And for that someone to be as special
as you are, really makes me feel good.

I really needed this right now, dear friend.
Thank you so very, very much.

Heart Hugs,
Ethel

(smiles) Yay!!! Oh Sue, you have a golden heart that not only shines with wonderful poetry but also love and caring for others and I know Ethel will always cherish this and those who believe in what love can bring to every day that at first felt mundane! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

littlewing - you are truly a romantic, and each write is better than the last. Not to say that they are not well written for they are, but, well, they are more gooder...

Sue,

This can't get any gooder...love the simplicity, for indeed these few words are universal. Very wise writer, you are. Enjoyed greatly and yes, what an honor for Ethel, Miss Romance herself.

You are indeed, so kind and thoughtful.

Hugs, Pat

I think women portray the meaning of love better than men in general, and you've done it very well here.  Ken

Ken:

so so very sweet - what an amazing compliment!  But I do disagree - hehe
your response shows that men do indeed know a bit about love themselves

thank you

Yes, love is really something... I like your description of it.  Have you tried laying in the cool grass at midnight?  It's a lot nicer than just baking out in the sun... you know, gaze up at the stars.  As long as there's no mosquitoes where you are.

Loved the images in this poem... nicely written.

littlewing, this was very lovely, your talent shows loving that is there to share, a desire to say yes, but with hesitation, if only you would take a chance, feel your way to true romance.

I enjoyed this, thanks for that.

Sincerely
Rick

This is soft and sweet.  What a summer day you have created here with Ethel's inspiration.  Darn, I can't seem to get him off of mind this morning...now I picture us as the couple in this poem.  Gosh, I wish he'd call.  LOL
