Why do I still love you? Tell me There is no absolute reason for it We both know that it isn't doing us any good It's not like you love me Not by the show that you give me Every time we speak Your hatred is all too plain What used to be doesn't matter any more I try to hold my anger Hang on to it until it warms me up inside And makes my nights go by But it doesn't happen I can't hate you The way you hate me I still love you No matter of the cost We both know it does me no good Yet I am unable to let go The pain of losing you As you stand before me Filled with anger Disdain in your eyes Treating me as if I don't matter Do I even exist In your eyes or in your world Am I just another obligation you must endure To burn through the karma You left on your soul from the life before Or is it the cross I must bear To pay for sins committed in a life once lived Whatever the cause Whatever the cost I must decide how to leave you And let you out of my soul Out of my heart So I might again sleep peacefully through the night |
