It is that they continually look for nooks
all on a game board of hook and crook
that leads from one corner to another
spirit of the wind shadows a cover
follow the object of hidden tasks
who is it that walks..they all ask
repeated in its many forms
conducive to recited norms

a mockery of cells chooses a street
fair collection of hats line  beat
to lead from one nameless angle to another
outside of the lens, undiscovered
another world....so vain to their own eyes
a reflection of countless enterprises
absurd walks...with apparent bags at hand
to hold a possession or two....understand
this to be ostrich walk of the damned
would this be a bird's walk or man's.

It is that they mock for their own sake
lie invisible in bed, eyes wide awake
spirits eloquently disquise themselves
on underwater bushes..aquatic elves
pigments produced to match what surrounds
flawless question of body doubles astounds.
