Sitting beneath A giant oak Wondering what it is That you have seen Through your endless days On our earth How many have come To sit as I have To consider what is What has been What may be Or just to dream How many lovers Taking their first kiss Under your shade Inscribing their love For all to see In your life’s limbs How many sunsets Have you seen What glories Colourful shades Expressed On the skies canvas You survive Through the endless heat Lack of rain Strength Only built up Over years Birds so thankful To have you there To nest Bring their young Into this world A new generation I hear a noise Harsh, sharp Grinding, tears fall As we cut down our past And make it sound like We are ensuring our future Are we really that unfeeling To believe Yesterday means nothing If we dispose Of yesterday’s wisdom How can we be wise today? |

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Philip, you shine with wisdom and heartfelt compassion in this powerful debut, sweet friend, I KNOW that in the coming years there will be nothing but regret, despair and dumbfoundedness when man sees all of Mother Nature gone unless we do something about it now and stop bending her to our will! God Bless You, I love this! Welcome to Passions, sweet Philip, may you be inspired by all of us here as we will all be inspired by your lovely words! I can't wait to read more of your wonderful words, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Philip, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story |

Thank you for sharing this. Most of the time, the trees are much more aware of us than are we of them. This is wonderful stuff. |
