Two miles east of the overgrown common Her fragile body was found, Lying face down in a restless quiet. Solitude nervously sounds. A peaceful sleep premature For a handful of troubled years Gasping for breath in a world exhaled From a mouth that we struggled to hear. It wasn’t a game or rehearsal For a distant afternoon, But a pained midnight sunset; a fading Of the light we never knew. Out of the morning, she vanished that day Into tears we tried hard to ignore; Failing to stop at the gaps left behind To wipe both her feet at the door. |

You write pain well. This just tears at one's heart. Quite expressive in brevity, yet tells me so much. Enjoy your talent, Hugs, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

So well done it hurts to read. A difficult subject done clearly with skill and with respect. Thank you for sharing this. |

And thus, Amber Alert was conceived. Well done, Pete! |
