Tis but the wind...
a chilling wind...
Tis nothing more, you see

Tis but the night
a cold dark night
to take the grit from thee

Tis but the moon,
that devilish moon..
That calls the wind in howl.
To bring to bear, if but too soon
those demons...that do prowl....

Tis but a shroud of finest silk
to lay above the soul.
To bring to bed thee that bled
upon the drummer's roll..

For on the toll of rattling snare
the tomb shall come alive.
To raise a fright and a scare
of ghouls that may arrive.

Of ghouls.....that may.....arrive
