sadness in your heart,
touches me in mine,
pain so tender and raw,
with yours it will entwine.

let me know your sorrow,
that i might share with you,
help to heal your aching soul,
and we will see it through.

let my arms protect you,
caress away your tears,
dress your wounds with love,
nursing all your fears.

sew stitches round your agony,
so your heart won't tear apart,
stroking bruising from your ego,
where blows have made it smart.

crushed and broken down like this,
i surely cannot bear,
i need to make you whole again,
i beg you ....... let me share.
