Thoughts On A Spring Day I watched you, your eyes closed, your breath soft and warm, wondering why our time had come to an end, as I peeked in to make sure you had made it home last night. Music runs through my head, those oldies stations reminding me song after song of moments shared. I wonder if you think of me when listening to those same songs. Do you remember where we were, when we first met? Do you remember that first kiss and the surprise on my face when you reached over to give me one? You were older, more experienced, and very hard to resist. We were more than friends, more than lovers. I don't believe in soulmates but if I did, you were mine. Some days I wonder about all those "what if's" and have to back off of feelings, knowing that they can never be again. Some days you look so good to me that I almost wish I could tell you that, but I am so afraid of your rejection a second time. I am prepared for the next step, that final one, but I know we will never sever our ties. Because despite everything, we have a bond. One that no one else can understand, not our friends, nor our relatives. I am often surprised at myself. I have no hate in me, and as time goes on respect has returned. You are still near enough to let me know I am not abandoned. And I am still here to make sure that you don't drown. Funny thing for me to say about a lifeguard, for it was you that saved me once...long ago. And it is I, that will keep you afloat until one or the other of us is no longer here on earth. I have come to terms with my life... for now. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

Your Spring Day thoughts were beautifully expressed--and very moving. Your poetry affects me deeply, for I have experienced so much of what you write about. It is wonderful that you are able to express these emotions and share them with others like myself. Luvin' hugs, LL |

"I am afraid of your rejection a second time." Reminded me of those feelings when trust is lost...James |

Munda, I know, sometimes I wish I was a palm reader or fortune teller, then I can prepare myself for the outcome. QjQ, I am glad you lasted through it. Sometimes I just ramble on about my yesterdays... EA, I wish I could write of a different theme, but I can only write about that which I know and experience. I was never good at surmising. hugs to you M JamesM, that's what it was and is...I have a hard time believing and trusting now, and doubt whether I will ever be able to again. Thank you for being a constant reader of my words. hugs M |

thank you James...I have been so busy I barely have time to come onto the computer and when I am not busy I am too tired...5 year olds can wear you down... I have been going to bed around 6-7 every night just because I can...yawning right now (I almost don't recognize myself writing these words) Thanks again, M |
