Though eyes don’t weep, the spirit does.
Why is it you cannot see this?
Though eyes don’t weep, the spirit does,
for it so longs for one more kiss.

Nights of lovemaking are now gone
and have been for so many years,
but she still needs to feel your touch.
Why is it you can’t see her tears?

Her last embrace was face to face,
until you became satisfied,
then you turned over, went to sleep
and didn’t know that night she cried.

Like roommates, you two share the house,
wrapped-up in self, you don’t see clues.
She’s leaving you, did you know that?
Sorry, to bring you the bad news.

She’s found a man who’s sensitive
and with him she feels quite secure.
No longer does her spirit weep.
It’s now caressed, that was the cure.

Oh, my! I hope this isn't your own story. It kind of choked me up and gave me a little lump in my throat. There certainly some lessons to be learned from this.

Warm hugs,
Linda

(big hugggssssss) Oh Michael, I too hope this is fictional to you, dearest friend, sadly it is best many times to make sacrifices just to make someone happy! (sad sigh) This is very heartfelt, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Maureen,
Thank you, it's good to see you here.

Linda,
I was inspired to write this after speaking with a friend.  Thank you for the nice reply.

Noah,
So often when we don't see tears we tend to think the spirit is healthy.  Sadly, that's not always the case.  Thank you, my friend.

Nancy,
Very well said.  Thanks and hugs back!

Oh, Michael, this is truly beautiful, and a special insight to what happens to so many relationships. If only partners could keep the tender caring that they had in the first place...than I think many would stay together. I love this one, and it touched me.

Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart  ~~S~~

It's an old poem, but one that I feel still contains much truth.  Both men and women so get wrapped up in their daily lives, friends, comfort zones,  that they often lose themselves, lose some of the most important parts of themselves and life.    The point I tried to make in this poem is to never allow any of us to do so.  I know that's hard, but please understand that we all need to sometimes just touch base, no matter how hard it is.  Sometimes we just need to turn the tv off and listen so that we can hear the earth breathe, because it has a way of teaching us how to do so as well.

Don't freak, I'm not a tree hugger, okay?  LOL

What I am is someone who does have feelings, as do you all, and it's taken me FAR too many years to caress them, just sort them out.

You'll do well, I promise you.  Hey, you're poets, so that means you've aleady climbed the ladder, but I'm only on the first step.

God bless, you dear family,

Michael

the earth will turn on as before,

the morning star, still kiss the dawn
