Wordsworth It is not my intent To give you a litany Of all that I’ve said Merely to underscore that Which you already know But, words are all that I have The sole vehicle That would bring me to you Not clever, elegant or even Terribly well-spoken Yet, bearing the truth Of my being Just as D.N.A. bears The truth of my body And as such I always assumed That they would have An inherent value As verity should I’ve tried to arrange And construct them In such a way as to give Weight to thought Form to feeling To make tangible What I find in my heart And found that these tokens When strung into psalms Make a poor offering To one rich in verbiage Like the dropping of bricks Into the dark of a well Never sure of their impact Or impression they leave The worth of my words Has always been measured By their faint, hollow echo [This message has been edited by wranx (02-17-2003 11:51 PM).] |

"Like the dropping of bricks Into the dark of a well Never sure of their impact Or impression they leave The worth of my words Has always been measured By their faint, hollow echo" Beautifully descriptive Wranx ... your visual comparison in the lines above leaves a lasting visual. An excellent write. Best wishes, /Kit |

And what they're worth is a whole lot... truth and sincerity, and the will to underline what lies within the reader, are key components to a good poet. Parasite "Faith" means the will to avoid knowing what is true. |

(sigh) Hollow their tone may be, but a mighty crescendo they make across these pages with grace and fervor, I LOVE IT!!! (big hugggsssssss) You truly are a magician of words and so I cast my vote upon you, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Wranx, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

To make tangible What I find in my heart And found that these tokens When strung into psalms Make a poor offering To one rich in verbiage Like the dropping of bricks Into the dark of a well Never sure of their impact Or impression they leave The worth of my words Has always been measured By their faint, hollow echo =============================== the perfect "poets poem" to represent you in the book..one of my faves of yours. YES! I want this echo of yours to be heard loud and clear. Dang, did anyone ever tell you before now that you were born to write? It's a special gift you have Ed, and we are so lucky that you share it with us. Definitely way beyond bowling and decoupage. |

This goes in the book. No doubt about it! It's good to see a poem of this quality, that talks about the way (and the ways) it feels to be a man. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Sure wish this gets into the book, and anyway I have printed it as a favorite for my collection of poetry called, "The Best Of The Best", which includes all my favorites from Passions. I really admire how you used your craft on this one. |

For my word's worth, this is a definite book submission. I never cared for the word submit until I joined this passionate group. Does that make me a groupie??? LOL. PS, thanks, wranx for that snowed-in pix. We have less than an inch of snow powder outside today. [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (02-23-2003 12:55 PM).] |
