Always near, ever close by In the warm embrace of summer morning, Often without a hint or warning, You are the glow of sunrise sky. A walk in the garden, mind in reflection Your face appears when my glance goes To softness of newly-awakened rose Blushing in full-petalled perfection. The splendid sun king broadcasts while Showering sunbeams born of fire; Songbirds' rhythmic roundelays in choir Ignite me like your amorous smile. End of day; and right on cue, Melodies fill my space: reprise Of love lyrics in exciting keys; Life swings with the nearness of you. Dedicated to my wife, Xiao Yan.
