Lullaby

I'll sing you a lullaby
so smooth and tenderly
upon a stream of caressin’ love
I hold you near to me.

I cradle you on my lap
your head against my chest
a tiny thumb into your mouth
you need a little rest .

Your eyes become so heavy now
from fairies’ sleepy sand
warm feelings fills my heart
you're safe in loving hands

A gentle kiss on both your eyes
oh how I enjoy your face
within a smile of Angel's bliss
captured it all in my embrace.

I'll sing for you a lullaby
so smooth and tenderly
always sing this song for you
whenever you need love from me.

Very pretty writing, Charisma.  We'd all love to hear a lullaby now and then, even if we're a bit too old for it.  Thank you for the lovely sentiments.

This poems brings back warm memories of my own babies. The warmth, the complete and udder joy (excuse me, I meant "utter" joy! tehe), the feeling of completeness... and the wonderful sights and sounds--and smells --Johnson's baby soap, baby powder...I choose to forget the unpleasant ones!
A loving poem that brings loving thoughts to its readers.

Warm hugs,
EA
