A shelf of books
falls on my brow
knocking me out
    blood drains
    on the floor
             leaving me
to awake to an old lady
wort and all trying to revive me
with
mouth
to
mouth

and a little bit o' tongue.

*** I was debating on whether I should share this one or not...but I thought to myself...why not corrupt people's view of the library ***

Perhaps she wasn't slipping you the tongue! Maybe her false teeth fell into your mouth while she was trying to save your life!

This is so cool my man!  But since my dear old Mom is a retired librarian, I'm having difficulty reconciling some of the images this poem conjures up!  But, I'll be alright.  Very smart and witty.  I'm not surprised in the least.

Taco,

auershome... this is just the kind of off the wall thing that i totally dig.  of course, it's a scandalous image but how deliciously so!  for the record, wort is actually spelled wart.  and you might want to reconsider the "falls on my brow."  it seems a little too small a space on the face to have a bookshelf fall on.  those are just small technical comment, though.  overall, i found the poem really funny and different and enjoyable.

yours,
kamala
