My name is nothing, My face is less. The place that I come from Is one that is blessed. I am of no shape, And less of hate, For I am what I am this I will state. I am like you, With love and Pain. And though I am different, I am still the same. I feel with my heart , And speak with my voice. You can love me or hate me , For this is your choice... Ashgiel |

well done! Its weird, isn't it, how we're all so much alike but yet so many people choose to favor.. or to hate.. certain people. What a weird world we live in. Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |

Very insightful piece. To think in that way and then imagine your feelings in relation to other people requires a kind of innocence that is missing in many humans today. That perspective came to me as I recalled a statement made by C.Day Lewis in a piece titled 'The Nurture of the Imagination'(1936): "The poet, then, must feel in images; must grasp the connection between things -but grasp them emotionally rather than logically, and must be capable of seeing one thing in terms of another. Now, if we consider those three abilities, we realise there is a certain innocence, a child-like nature common to all of them. Imagination demands -and not only from the poet- a quality of innocence." I enjoyed and appreciated this poem. Patrick Talty |
