You can almost see it happening The greys and browns giving way The browns slowly turning The grey slowly disappearing Green emerging from the browns and reds Brightening and growing Covering the grey till none is seen It is definitely spring again. You are a good poet as soon as you try to reach others with your words. |

A joyful and colourful greeting to Spring. I always admire a poem that can capture the reader's feelings, thoughts and imaginations with the kind of brevity lauded by Ralph Waldo Emerson in his preface to *Parnassus*: " poetry teaches the enormous force of a few words, and, in proportion to the inspiration, checks loquacity."
