Building Glory A glance upon the descending fire, upon the purple whispering cotton A gaze upon the maturing cover of blinking visions from afar A dream of your illumination through the opened vast expanse Through the rolling away of restless color down from far between the stars A visionary warmth of flight with siblings of grace and favor An anticipation of a return to light with blessed sons and daughters A search across the eastern line and through the heavens so densely spread Through the galaxies of twists and turns in search of our good father Timothy Work He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Proverbs 28:26 [This message has been edited by Poet4Christ (04-10-2003 11:39 PM).] |

Tim, this is beautiful... eye candy for your mind... and it touched my heart.... it is a poem of hope and anticipation. Wonderful work!!!! I has my vote.... Blessings!!! Sherry I read it again... I have to say more..... Your second stanza is of particular beauty. "A visionary warmth of flight with siblings of grace and favor An anticipation of a return to light with blessed sons and daughters" Someday skies of brilliant blue, Will cut the gloomy clouds with glory As the angels and we in one accord Sing of Salvation's Story. Cherish the good memories of the past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. But above all... be kind to yourself today. Thank you all. I know this poem is a little short and originally I wanted it to be longer, but I think a certain somebody so much greater than me wanted it this way. Thank you Sherry for your comments, I really enjoyed writing this one, because the anticipation is real. Waldopepper, Joyce, and Spirit thank you so much for your votes. I have a long way to go for this one to ever be accepted. This one was really just for me anyway. Thanx - Tim PS - i feel funny voting for my own poetry, so I never have. Just wondering what everybody thinks about that. He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Proverbs 28:26 |

Thank you all. There really is no way to express through words the anticipation that lives in my heart for that day. God bless you and again.. thank you. He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Proverbs 28:26 |

Well written and from the heart, often I find it is hard to express the joyful or pleasant experiences as I am usually stuck on the negative ones. It is good that you have taken time to express the positive and that you are dwelling on Godly things as God commanded us to do. Steven |
