My mind tells me it must be a dream but sad it appears I know it reality For in place of flesh and bone I have fondly come to know a square foot of drab carpeting lies where the body once was between my head and toes in grand final insult embroidered upon my face the letters W-E-L-C-O-M-E stand out clear as day. Like a stampede of deformed bovines I see them come rushing rushing in and out leaving dirty footprints everyone From large ugly women in ten inch heels to lanky loafer clad salesman each feeling the need to take their turn "well lets not dirty the house with mud and such for what other purpose does this mat here lie?" "What Purpose indeed!" I grumble muffled beneath fabric mouth as yet another muddy shoe plants itself on my carpet brow After many days and nights of comings and goings loafers, heels, boots and smelly disgusting and filthy my usefulness comes to an end So off to the store the owner skips with glee to find another poor mat just like me. |

Intriguing as always! Perhaps a good vacuum with lots of personal power would clean up the dirt left by inconsiderate people. Sending lots of hugs and pink loving light, EA |

(big hugggssssssss) I can understand this heartachem how inhumane it can be to tread ones soles on the carpet for more than five seconds at a time, my heart goes out to you, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Brad, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

I am sorry I missed this one earlier....just checking out the company on page 7 where mine and yours lay dormant.... forgotten... I REALLY LIKED THIS ONE I have always considered myself a sort of doormat... always too nice to say no or tell someone off when they REALLY deserved it. You get used till you are worn out and tossed away like yesterday's garbage.... before someone notices it was yours..... kinda like some people treat and use their "friends". But doormats have a tendancy, when the dirt is finally too much for them, to pick themselves up and shake off the s**t. The one standing on the mat at the time gets the unexpected upending. be reassured they probably deserve it!!! well written, my friend!!!! Look for me... in here and on #25. Glad I came back to read. Definitely interesting and a nice change of pace. I enjoyed this a great deal! I will now always think of you when I see a doormat. I guess that wasn't the best words to use, but I hope you know what I mean! ~Sheri |
