At times, he missed her more. A second would do; a solitary second apart would set his heart aflutter. Yes, the import of her smile could make all the difference. it started off weak. but it grew stronger like an alcoholic in a drug program [me and my analogies, jesus..]. that last line--ties the whole poem togeth- er and, yeah, remarkable. --chris. |
