Mount Of Emerald Green

As I sit upon my mount
a sea of emerald green
heart and soul I have given
to the only one who can save me.

With heart now open widely
looking towards the heavens
I give awe-inspiring thanks
for the blessing already found given
and those soon to be granted me.

Knowing in this place I reside
now in blessed tranquillity
is small in comparison
to the decaying world past
my tree line of emerald green.

Placing myself on mountains high
barricaded territories
would I see in front of me,
and military infested waters
keeping watch through storms wake
reaching far out to sea!

Just walking streets of my home land
can be traitorous as well,
for man seems to be on a collision course
with  unseen forces seemingly in charge.

If you asked me what gives me
such peace and serenity
with cheerful glee I would convey
I have found true friendship
in one who loves me for me.

Find yourself that special little spot
maybe a mount of emerald green,
but if not don’t fret for it doesn’t matter
where or when simply ask it’s surprising
how much you will freely receive.

A touching piece, liked your paragraph structure and the spoken flow you used to make it seem less like verse and more like monologue.

Liked your choice of imagery as well.  Nicely written, I'll vote.

Cerenity, it's wonderful that you have this......

"I have found true friendship
in one who loves me for me"

My Love and I were best friends before we
fell in love....and still are, too. He and
I both know that we are blessed to have found each other.
Thank you for this. It gets my vote.

I know that green place, and it's all too long since I went there. This is a promise: I will go there, if not today then most certainly tomorrow.

yeah it is edited cause I messed up and had to come back and click the box. you would think I was new at this wouldn't you?

You know I have only just experienced what you speak of lately, and know the feeling however foreign to me, warms me right to the core.  Not only do you have my vote, this truly made me smile in absolute delight.
