unaffected by the night, my parents hiss about their latest misadventure, the details debated via repeat mode, with no sign of receding into obscurity they oscillate violently between expressing pride in their mature understanding of life and lamenting about their stupidity, each taking turns to cry and comfort I wish money isn't an issue and they can move on, regardless of the heartless ploys/obligatory tasks the enterprising employee/shrewd swindler bank officer has in mind for them I beg them to keep it low and apply more powder on my rash, stung by my need and failure to provide [This message has been edited by kaile (03-12-2003 08:05 AM).] |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Kaile, this is so very sad but true, sweet friend, money can ruin so many lives and even when a family gets in financial dilemmas, it can also affect the attention children need and relationships! (sad sigh) I am so glad you re-posted this so I can re-vote, sweet friend, my prayers are with all families hit hard by this dilemma, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kaile, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

kaile, Plenty of food for thought in this one. Here's my vote. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

One thing my parents never did, and that was to let their kids hear their "discussions"... In some ways, that can be a detrimental thing...so I understand this poem...very well. Good job, Kaile |

Re-posting my vote for this - must be doing what you are taught, but eventually someone breaks the chain of this. |

Money is not the root of all evil---it is the lack thereof that is. Financial difficulties can create a great deal of havoc and stress in a family---totally changing its dynamics. Children ofttimes feel misplaced guilt because they can't ease the financial burdens. How wonderful it would be if every person on this earth had all their needs met and enjoyed vibrant good health, freedom, and financial abundance. Then there truly would be heaven on earth. Warm hugs, Earth Angel |

MY GOD! Have you been in my house listening to my wife and I? Brisk slap in the face was this... thanks for the wake up call. Oh yeah, my vote ... Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn. |

I hope not to do a "disservice" but this piece is ingenious from its point of perspective. Simply a jewel of a "slice of life" that so many endure, often to the detriment of innocents lives around them. Very touching and plainly poignant. |
